Learn how to create a SMOOTH ZOOM transition with Motion Blur in Adobe Premiere Pro!
This is a very simple but effective transition effect that I use quite often in my videos. Watch my tutorial below to learn how to make this effect yourself.
STEP 1: Create an ADJUSTMENT LAYER.
STEP 2: Drag Adjustment layer on top of the two video clips you’re making a transition between. Make sure the adjustment layer aligns with the cut point of both video clips.
STEP 3: Drag the TRANSFORM effect onto your adjustment layer.
STEP 4: With the playhead aligned on the cut point between your two video clips, go to your transform effect settings and set the scale to 200. Create a keyframe.
STEP 5: Use the left arrow to toggle 5 frames to the left and set a keyframe with the scale back to 100. Right click the keyframe and select “EASE OUT.”
STEP 6: Move the playhead back to the cut point, and then use your right arrow to toggle 5 frames to the right. Set a keyframe with the scale back to 100. Right click the keyframe and select “EASE IN.”
